Granola Bars You can have Granola Bars using 7 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Granola Bars

  1. You need of vanilla essence.
  2. Prepare of salt.
  3. Prepare of honey.
  4. You need of brown sugar.
  5. Prepare of butter.
  6. It's of & 1/4 cup rolled oats.
  7. It's of almonds(roughly chopped).

Granola Bars step by step

  1. Lightly toast oats and almonds in oven for +-10mins, making sure to shake tray in between. Once toasted, transfer to a mixing bowl. *Line a baking tray with foil and grease well. *In a saucepan add butter, sugar and honey and melt on medium heat until sugar is dissolved..
  2. Remove from heat and add vanilla and salt. *Add mixture to mixing bowl with oats and mix till well coated. (make sure none of the oats r dry) *Now add any extra ingredients that you like(diff nuts, raisins, coconut, dried fruit, etc). I added in some toasted rice crispies and choc chips. PS: if adding in choc, allow mixture to cool a lil so the chocolate does not melt(+-5/10mins) OR- i freeze my choc chips.. So i added in after mixing a few times..
  3. Please make sure not to add too many extra ingredients or the granola will become to dry and not hold shape.. *Pat mixture(pat tightly or it will crumble) onto your lined tray and allow to cool. *Once cool, you can melt some milk chocolate over(dark choc for a healthier option) OR you could leave them plain. *Slice and store in an airtight container.. Or in fridge.. Enjoy ♥.
